According to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“PDPL”), HFT acts as the data controller towards natural persons whose personal data is processed (“Data Subject”). HFT acts lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner on processing, erasure, destruction, anonymization, transfer of the personal data, informing the Data Subject and providing the security of personal data as stipulated under PDPL.
This Privacy Policy is prepared and submitted in order to fulfill the clarifying obligation under the PDPL and inform you that our company, as data controller, can process and retain personal data within the scope of your subsription as a member (“Member”) to the online platform (“Connection Days”).

 Transferring the Personal Data to Third Persons

HFT merely transmits your personal data to domestic third parties in accordance with the purposes of this Privacy Policy pursuant to Article 8 of the PDPL.
Name, surname, e-mail address, and/or mobile phone (optional) information of the Members who confirmed the electronic commercial messages are shared with the electronic commercial messaging service provider in order to promote and advertise our services.

In addition, HFT will be able to share personal data collected through your visit and online traffic information with public institutions and organizations legally authorized to request this information in order to fulfill legal obligations when legally or administratively obliged to make a notice and provide information.

The personal data subject related to domestic transfer mentioned above is transferred and stored by taking all necessary security measures and technical measures by HFT and the third parties to whom data transferred. Additionally, personal data is protected within the scope of the data processing contract signed with third parties to whom HFT transfers personal data as the data controller.

Erasure, Destruction and Anonymization of Personal Data

HFT process personal data collected due to above mentioned purposes and means meticulously and confidentially as stipulated in PDPL.Personal data will be collected as long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of legal obligations and data processing activities. At the end of this period, personal data will be deleted, removed, and anonymized. Only the authorities can access personal data as required by the nature of the business.

When the retention period necessitated by the Law expires, personal data will be distructed immediately in accordance with relevant provisions of PDPL and Turkish Criminal Law, The Regulation on Deletion, Removal and Anonizymation of Personal Data and company policies.   

Rights of the Relevant Person

You, as the relevant person, have the following rights under Art 11 of the PDPL:

a) to be informed whether your data is being processed,
b) to request information if it is processed,
c) to learn the purpose of any processing of your personal data and whether it is being used in compliance with that purpose,
ç) to be informed of any unrelated persons residing within the country or overseas to whom the data is transferred,
d) to request adjustment if the personal data is processed incorrectly or in an incomplete manner,
e) To request that personal data are deleted or removed within the framework of the conditions stipulated in article 7, 
f) to request that the unrelated persons to whom the data is transferred are informed of the transactions carried out as per paragraphs (d) and (e),
g) to object to a finding against you as a result of analysing and processing your personal data exclusively through automated systems,
ğ) to request compensation if you suffer any loss should your personal data be unlawfully processed.

Depending on the qualification of your request, your applications will be finalized within thirty days free of charge; however, in case of an additional cost, the Company reserves its right to demand a fee depending on the tariff to be determined by Personal Data Protection Committee.

This Explicit Consent Letter contains information about which personal data will be collected, purposes for which the personal data will be processed and groups of recipients to whom the personal data may be transferred by Hannover Fairs Turkey Fuarcılık A.Ş. (“HFT”) within the scope of Connection Days Event (“Event”) when you give your explicit consent pursuant to Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No.6698 (“PDPL”).

Accordingly, in case you give your explicit consent, personal data to be transferred by HFT in accordance with article 9 of the PDPL, their purposes, and groups of recipients are explained below and presented to you.

  • Your name, surname, e-mail address, mobile phone number (optional), country and city information, position/title, profession, name of the company you work for, and information about whether or not you have a decision-making position within the company, IP address, online traffic data, entrance and exit time, expectations and purposes of participating in the event and interests will be transmitted to foreign third parties that we cooperate with, in order to fulfill legal obligations, arrange the event on the online platform, set up the technical infrastructure and provide the services.

 The personal data subject related to international transfer mentioned above is transferred and stored by taking all necessary security measures and technical measures by HFT and the third parties to whom data transferred. Additionally, personal data is protected within the scope of the data processing contract signed with third parties to whom HFT transfers personal data as the data controller.
